Not Just Colour, the digital education platform founded by Jake Rich and Anna Chahuneau that helps content producers improve their creative skillset, announces the release of their new travel film, “Morocco 4K.” This short cinematic film showcases an expedition across Morocco in 4K and aims to inspire people to fall in love with traveling again post-pandemic.
Rich, an Australian digital artist and travel filmmaker, started his career in digital content and as a presenter on Brisbane community radio 4ZZZ. In 2014, he received the Best Upcoming Presenter award through Simon Cowell’s The You Generation, which sparked his career in digital media. Soon after that, he launched his own YouTube channel, which has amassed nearly 150,000 subscribers. Rich also starred on the reality TV show Big Brother and has since spent many years perfecting his travel filmmaking style. After meeting Chahuneau in 2019, the pair decided to pursue their passion for cinematography and explore the world together.
Chahuneau is the award-winning documentary film director of “Pursuing the Monarchs,” that examines the social and biological factors causing the rapid waning of the monarch butterfly population. The movie currently streams on WaterBear, the Prince Harry approved Netflix for climate documentaries. In 2020, they founded Not Just Colour, an education platform that equips upcoming content creators with the skills necessary to shine in the travel filmmaking industry. Haglöfs, Musicbed, Insta360 and GoPro are only a few of the top-tier labels they collaborate with regularly.

The Power of Low-Budget Filmmaking in the Technology Age

This new Morocco travel film was an assignment commissioned by Insta360 and was fully captured on an Insta360 One R Expert Edition action camera. The motion picture is voiced in three languages; Berber, French and English. It features the interconnected stories of three storytellers sharing their visions of purpose-based traveling in the hope of sparking people’s love for post-pandemic traveling.
Capturing scenes across the Sahara Desert, Ait Ben Haddou, Marrakech and Essaouira, “Morocco 4K” is a testament to the power and relevance of low-budget filmmaking in today’s digital era. Scenes of this movie were made in collaboration with local creators including Yassine Cavalier, a spirited horse lover and video-maker.
We are extremely excited to showcase what action cameras are capable of achieving these days,” Rich added. “Very few YouTube videos will have the power to stand out in your memory. This one will, and may even see you book a ticket to Morocco
