Looking for beaches to visit this summer? Queensland, also known as the Sunshine State, has some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia. Whether you want white sand beaches, turquoise water, surfing beaches, or a place to relax, Queensland has it all! Here are the best beaches in Queensland:

Currumbin Beach

Currumbin Beach

Located in the southern end of the Gold Coast, Currumbin is something else. With beautiful clear blue water, stunning views of the Gold Coast skyline, and a fantastic lookout point from the top of Elephant Rock, you can’t go wrong with a trip to Currumbin!

Broadbeach

best beaches in Queensland

One of my favourite beaches on the Gold Coast, Broadbeach is close enough to Surfers Paradise but not so much that the beach is full of tourists. Broadbeach has some amazing waves so it makes it a perfect spot for surfers. There’s also a mall nearby with fantastic restaurants and cafes to visit after a day at the beach!

Noosa Heads

best beaches in Queensland

Noosa Heads Beach located on the Sunshine Coast is one of the most popular beaches in the region, and for a good reason! With fantastic views and restaurants situated along the beach, golden sand, and clear water, it’s not one to be missed! For an extra special experience, head to the eastern side of the beach and walk through the national park to the famous Fairy Pools!

Fraser Island

Fraser Island

Located off the coast of Hervey Bay, Fraser Island has so many fantastic beaches on offer and is a great place to camp for the weekend! Home to white-sand beaches, clear blue water, an abundance of marine life, and spectacular views from the top of the dunes, Fraser Island and its beaches are a must-see while in Queensland!

Rainbow Beach

Rainbow Beach Queensland

Located between Noosa Heads and Hervey Bay, you’ll find the fantastic Rainbow Beach. With perfect waves, long stretches of sand, and an amazing name, what more could you want?! As well as swimming and surfing, you can climb the sand dunes to get a breathtaking view, and if you have a 4X4, make sure to head to Double Island Point!

Hervey Bay

best beaches in Queensland

A cool coastal town, Hervey Bay has an array of beaches to relax at. You can marvel at the stunning water from the beach or walk to the end of the 800m pier and gaze at the stunning blue water from above. Hervey Bay is also the perfect place to watch the sunset, if you’re lucky, you may even spot dolphins!

Caloundra

best beaches in Queensland

Another Sunshine Coast gem, Caloundra is a one of a kind. Perfect white sand coupled with stunning blue water, you can spend the day at the calm estuary or the ocean beach! No matter what you choose to do, there is something for everyone. For a little bit of extra fun, hire a kayak or jet ski and explore the ocean beyond!

Palm Cove

Palm cove

One of the best spots in Tropical North Queensland, Palm Cove is home to a long strip of gorgeous palms, 5.5km stretches of sand, and beautiful blue water. You can even hire a kayak at the northern end of the beach and paddle out to two amazing reefs that aren’t even ten minutes from the shore!
