Now that summer is winding down and the kids are back in school we find ourselves consuming warm and spicier flavors. Flavors for best fall cocktail recipes usually include a variety of different spices like vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom. And of course every food and beverage brand has a fall flavor like pumpkin spice.

The weather starts to get cooler and these warm spices are a welcomed change from the very cold and refreshing drinks of summer. Many fruits are no longer in season and don’t taste the same as they did when they were fresh and ripe.

Here are two different best fall cocktail recipes that can be easily prepared by anyone at home. Both of these drinks could also be prepared warm for those cooler days. They might even make a nice holiday treat to share with friends and family.

Caramel Apple Punch

This first recipe is a traditional type of autumn cocktail including apple cider. Apples are in season in September and October and fresh apple cider is delicious in many cocktails. Caramel apples, a seasonal treat, are the inspiration for this recipe.

  • 2 oz cinnamon rum
  • 1/2 oz caramel sauce
  • 3 oz apple cider
  • 1/2 oz vanilla liqueur
  • dried apple garnish

How to make a Caramel Apple Punch? (3 simple steps)

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Strain and pour over ice.
  3. Garnish with an apple slice and cinnamon stick.

Liquid Gold

This second cocktail includes a little extra spice in the form of ginger and the earthier flavor of turmeric. Its beautiful golden color reminds us of the changing leaves in the fall.

  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz turmeric juice (gifted)
  • 1/2 oz ginger juice (gifted)
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice

How to make a Liquid Gold? (3 simple steps)

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake and strain over crushed ice.
  3. Garnish with crystallized ginger.
