Hamburg is the second-largest city after Berlin in the country, located in the northern part of Germany, connected by hundreds of canals. It is a city with a very shiny night and busy daily life. Also, it is an international trade center with dozens of different cultures. This means that when you come to Hamburg, you have a great opportunity to discover delicious dishes that suit every taste. We all know that sausage, potatoes, and beer are famous in German cuisine. Although they generally consume the same food in 2 meals a day, Germans, especially the younger generation, enjoy eating out. In this way, they create the opportunity to taste completely different foods. In our food guide, we have listed beautiful places that you can visit when you are in Hamburg. We also added our favorites.
If you have already visited Hamburg and if there are places you definitely recommend, we are waiting for your suggestions, too! So, we can try to add it to our Hamburg food guide!
Underdocks

- Address: Neuer Kamp 13 20359 Hamburg
- Restaurant Type: Fast Casual/Bar
- Recommended Dish: Black Tiger Roll

It is just a two minutes walk from the Feldstraße underground station. The harmony of the interior design with the music, the behavior of the staff, and the ability to speak English are among the details that highlight the place. At the same time, prices are reasonable for Hamburg.
Although it has a fish-based menu, suitable foods are offered quickly for vegans and vegetarians. Also, I would like to mention that I love the homemade Remoulade sauce and the portions will fill you up.
Luicella’s Ice Cream

- Address: Osterstraße 133 20255 Hamburg
- Restaurant Type: Café/Take Away
- Recommended Dish: Schokospokus

A sweet ice cream shop is very close to the Osterstraße underground station. It offers a wide menu with varieties suitable for vegans. A business that has made its work transparent. I don’t want to go without saying that the employees are very friendly but the queue is quite long. Prices are very reasonable according to taste.

Just a few minutes to buy the product you have decided on from the large menu, and then if you find a place outside, I recommend you sit there. I add that there is approximately 55% cocoa in the chocolate sauce, and it is additive-free. Chocolate lovers will love it.
AuthenTikka

- Address: Schäferkampsallee 41 20357 Hamburg
- Restaurant Type: Ethnic/Casual Dining
- Recommended Dish: Gol Gappa Shot & Dal Makhni

I strongly recommend this place, which is about five or ten minutes’ walk from Schlump metro station to Indian cuisine lovers. Its interior design is quite modern, and its owner is a sweet lady. I have no doubt that she will be very kind to you and explain every meal in detail and contribute to a good meal. Prices are quite normal for these delicious dishes.
As with most places for vegans and vegetarians, there are various options here too. Foods are incredibly delicious; portions are much bigger than what seems!

No matter where you sit in the place, you will enjoy a much different pleasure in each one. I will strongly recommend Gol Gappa Shot and Dal Makhni to you. You will admire these two delicious dishes that are both sweet and spicy like me.
FrittenFreude

- Address: Große Bäckerstraße 8 20095 Hamburg
- Restaurant Type: Fast Food/Take Away
- Recommended Dish: Fritten Love & Peas

The place is right in the center, within a seven or eight minutes walk to Rathaus Square. It’s a pretty small but elegant Eat&Go place. Prices are quite normal, at a level suitable for everyone.

Although the menu is not very diverse, it is possible to find something for yourself. Also, for the vegans. Portions are large, you will be full. The staff is kind. I tried the dish Fritten Love & Peas with Falafel. It can be a practical lunch spot for you on your city tour.
They also offer a new meal they created weekly. We look at the potatoes from a different perspective.
Vollmundig

- Address: Veringstraße 97 21107 Hamburg
- Restaurant Type: Fast Casual/Café/Brassiere&Bistro
- Recommended Dish: Portuguese Morning
- Website: vollmundig-cheese.de

Unfortunately, the place is a little far from the center. A combination of a train and a bus will be required. But trust me, it is one of the best options you should stop by to have your breakfast or your meal in a quality place.

It is a very cute little place. You can creatively taste classic foods that appeal to every palate. Staff behavior is as great as the venue and you can get along smoothly. Prices are quite normal.
The presentation is quite diverse. The menu is full and the positions will fill you up. I would like to tell you that even if I sit inside, you will enjoy it more outside. I would also recommend you try the delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails on the menu.
